So, there is this site I found called Tumblr that is like WordPress. (Used for blogging) And, I loveeee to do new things and I am debating whether I should switch to Tumblr and not use WordPress… I mean, Tumblr looks so much cooler and it has better themes.. but then again, I always think that the newest thing is always better.
You’ll know if I have changed to a different place ;)
Taylor Swift – Speak Now Album

I don’t know if you haven’t heard but the Speak Now Album by Taylor Swift has been released sometime in October. I absolutely loved the songs, and the cool thing is that Taylor Swift actually wrote some of them about her life. I haven’t heard all of them though. My favorites are Mine, Speak Now, and Back to December. So make sure you listen to those!! Sooo… since I loved the songs so much… I am just going to show you all the songs. You can play them from here. I hope you like them!

1st Report Card

YES! I made All A’s on my first 9 weeks report card! I’m so happy. I was at first scared I might have a B, but I brought it up just in time!
The grades are…
• Physical Science – 95
• Culinary Arts – 100
• World History – 95
• Pre-AP Literature – 93
Mom found this quite odd that my lowest grade was in my strongest subject. I don’t think she realizes that Pre-AP Literature is quite hard. Apparently, my teacher said that in college now, the most significant thing is not if you made All A’s. If they see an 89 in an AP class and a 93 in a regular class, they will go with the AP class instead, since they know how hard it was to get into the class and make that grade. My mom finds that hard to believe. But, don’t think that just because I heard that statement, I’m okay with making B’s in my AP class (specifically Pre-AP). I still am working for All A’s no matter what! (Mainly, because my mom kills me if she sees a B.) Next semester, I’m going to be in AP Language… so I’ll see how that goes. (hehe)
Some other things that we will be doing today is cleaning the house. Then, we are going to watch one of our 2 new movies. :)
Mom said me might also be working on our basement. Who knows what THAT will be. She always says, “We’re not going to work long.” But, that ends up being FOREVER. But, that’s just mom!
Homecoming Dance

I went to the Homecoming Dance for our school. (a few weeks ago actually, but I just wanted to talk about it now) I had a lot of fun.
Only bad thing happened, it started at like 9:30 PM… and mom said for me to leave at 11:00 PM. It ended at midnight, and I lost track of time (actually, I didn’t even check the time) so, I got grounded for being late. And it was all my fault. :/ So, I can’t blame it on anything or anyone but myself.
Grounded from:
• Computer for another week (only reason I’m on now is because mom gave me a free day for making a good grade)
• Ipod until the end of October
• DS until the end of October
I know… bad Emily.
Internet Explorer 9 BETA

So, I am a sucker for all the “updates” on the computer that you can get for FREE. (hehe)
And I have Internet Explore 8… well, I heard about Internet Explorer 9 BETA and decided that I would like to download it! And then I find that only if you have Windows 7 you can download it. UNFAIR! And I know that my family won’t be getting Windows 7 until we get a new computer that comes with it… and that’s not happening soon. >< SO ANGRY!
Some updates on my life…
• We are cleaning out our basement and it is going well.. except this guy that is helping us is supposed to be putting all the junk in our 18-wheeler trailer and he’s throwing everything and broke my mom’s records, jenny’s daddy memory box, dishes, and so much more!
• I am soon going to have to take a test on Fredrick Douglass and his autobiography (got to start reading)
• I have to finish my Civil Disobedience case (con)
• Haven’t even practiced my piano this week!
• I haven’t practiced my Chinese either (sorry teachers!!) BUT I have been practicing my chinese language with my friend!! I will get onto it right at this moment I speak!!
Well! I have to go get the clothes out of the dryer and separate them!!

Well, I have All A’s. My mom said if I make All A’s for the whole semester, I can have my own facebook.
Means?
• All A’s – 2 progress reports
• All A’s – 2 report cards
Which should be pretty easy, but unfortunately, I missed school for one day to go to Atlanta, and that day happened to be when each of my classes had either a test or some class project to do for the day. And it’s hard to make them up, because the teachers won’t put in the grade I made up on iParent, so I can’t see it.

By the way,
I watched The Last Song. It was worth watching. Everyone says at my school that, “Dude, the only reason I’m not going to watch it is because Miley Cyrus is in it.” (something in those lines) She actually did a good job acting. I think this drama and tear jerker type movies are good for her, instead of these comedy Disney Channel ones. :) It was not as good as the book of course. I cried if that makes a difference in anything. :)

Yes.
I am going to a Disney Cruise on Spring Break. And I’m pretty sure it is OFFICIAL. I cannot wait! I’ve never been on a cruise in my life. Just wanted to update on that. We’re also thinking of going to Disney World a few days before that, so I’ll definitely get the whole effect (affect?) on Disney.
My sister and I have chosen our duet for our upcoming All State audition.

I think it will be really good. I love Mr. Vandall. His pieces are fun to play. So give me good luck on that. And, we found me a solo too… but it looks kind of hard, which is great since it is a challenge, but scares me a little. [push the scare to the side] But I won’t worry about that for now! All I can think about is our future cruise!
Decisions, decisions…

I was asked by my former music teacher if I would like to accompany her church for $30 every Sunday.
THAT is NOT too bad. The only problem is that with me and piano for all state, and then having school. I don’t think I would play very well anyway, and my homework would go down.
People don’t really understand that the pieces I play that sound pretty good were worked on for a year. I am not a good site reader. I mean, I can read the notes, but I can’t just play something off the bat. So that would mean I would have to practice the hymns during the week, so my school work would probably go down and the hymns wouldn’t be the best they could be.
My decision?
Sorry! I wish I could though. :)
